Airports in the USA and now Australia have engaged the technology of full body scanners for security reasons. X-rays can be a useful tool, but need to be utilised on the human body only when necessary as there may be some serious health issues as a result of too much exposure to them.

The Problem

Make no mistake, when going through these full body scanners you are blasted with X-rays. In comparison, radio and televisions surround you with a frequency range of 1,000,000,000Hz. An X-ray and/ or a full body scan will blast you with 100,000,000,000,000,000Hz. This radiation dosage may create cancer. This is why your radiologist and dentist shield themselves with lead or exit the room prior to the x-ray taking place. They are dangerous to health when the body is subjected too often to them. Environomics knows of instances whereby adults have become electrically sensitive after exploratory x-rays on them left them vulnerable and unable to tolerate any further exposure to electrical devices. Furthermore, one must question the ability of babies, children, the elderly and frail to be able to handle the same amount of radiation from a full body scan as a robust adult may as the dosage is the same for all.

The Solution

One is still “allowed” to opt not to walk through these insidious devices and bypass it for a “pat down” instead. If you are a frequent flyer or in a weakened immune state due to ill health, then it would be advisable to demand the right to take this option.
