Europe Bans X-Ray Body Scanners Used at U.S. Airports

The European Commission has oulawed airport X-ray body scanners that use "backscatter" radiation technology, "in order to not risk jeopardizing citizens'
health and safety" – but the USA still uses them. The reason is that they expose your body to ionizing radiation, which causes cumulative DNA damage that can lead to cancer
